Hook: Tiemco 200R Size 12 - 16
Thread: Dark Brown 6/0
Weight: 5 wraps of .25 lead under the thorax
Tail: Pheasant tail barbs (5 or 6)
Rib: Fine gold wire
Body: Thread underbody to form a taper, then pheasant tail barbs wrapped up to the thorax
Thorax: Peacock Herl
Wing Case: Pheasant tail barbs
Legs: Ends of the pheasant tail barbs, tied beard-style
Tip: If the pheasant tail barbs are long enough, you can do the entire pattern with a single clump of barbs. If not, add a new clump at the back of the thorax and use it for the wing case and legs.
Tip: Wrap the ribbing in the opposite direction that you wrapped the body. This will make the fly more durable.
