Bally Pinball Repair Service AS-2518-XX Sound Boards |
![]() |
If your board looks like any of the ones the picture below, then those capacitors are original and are probably over 15 years old. Electrolytics tend to dry out over time and new ones may just bring your board back to live, or at least perk it up. New trimmers will get rid of any scratchy noise you may have, and new header pins are always a good thing to do.
Here's a table of rates for each type of repair, and all prices include parts and labor.
I also ask that you pay return postage, which will be the going rate for U.S. Priority Flat Rate Priority, or International Priority, plus optional insurance.

So feel free to send me your board(s) and I'll take a look and let you know what I think, then you can decide what to do from there. Probably a good idea if you e-mail me first, just so I know what to expect (remove the NO_S*P*A*M_).
Here's a picture of an AS-1825-32 after it got a tune-up.
And an AS-2518-50, before and after:
And an AS-2518-51, before and after:
And an AS-2518-61A (Squawk & Talk) after I gave it a tuneup:
Of course, there's always Ts & Cs
(revised again), and don't forget prices DO NOT include shipping.
If you decide to "do it yourself", visit
Big Daddy or
GPE
for all the parts you'll need.
I'll still fix it when you're done. :-)
Thanks!
